The National Chapters Team held a pivotal 2-day virtual meeting from 10th – 11th December 2024 to evaluate the current operational model for National Chapters and identify opportunities for improvement and growth. The meeting was dubbed a ‘Vision Meeting’ to reflect the core agenda: Crafting a forward-looking plan for the ISSUP National Chapters.

The Colombo Plan Drug Advisory Programme (DAP) launched a new prevention initiative to address the need for competent professionals involved in drug use prevention across Central Asia. The first training aimed at prevention practitioners titled, “UPC 10 – Introduction to the Universal Prevention Curriculum Series for Practitioners”, convened in Almaty, Kazakhstan, from 15 – 20 April 2024.

The UNODC Regional Office for Central Asia held a Regional Training of Trainers (ToT) on Course 20 – “Populations with Special Clinical Needs” which took place in person in Dushanbe, Tajikistan on 23-27 October 2023.
